We have two very experienced full time RN's, one who has been with us for 21 years, and the other has been with us for 6 years. Our nurses have had specialty training in allergy and asthma, and are members of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Allergy injections and testing are done only be RN's who also devote significant time instructing patients about treatment and allergy avoidance measures. Our office is particularly sensitive to the individual needs of young children, and the nurses skin test with a one touch, non needle device placed on the back. We encourage patients to become well educated about allergy and asthma, and in addition to medical staff instructions we have many videos and brochures that are always available. We have two well located offices, each with abundant parking. The Norwalk office is near the Norwalk Green on East Avenue between Post Road and I-95 off exit 16. We have late Tuesday hours, Wednesday hours, Friday morning hours, and Saturday morning hours in our Norwalk office. We are in our second office in Ridgefield, located off Main Street, on Monday afternoons. The office accepts PPO, HMO, and Medicare insurance plans. If a new PPO or HMO emerges that we are not yet aware of, please inform our office manager. Office Hours OFFICE HOURS EFFECTIVE 4/3/06 NORWALK OFFICE HOURS: Tuesday 3:30-6:30PM Wednesday 2:00-4:30PM Friday 10:00AM-12:30PM Saturday 10:00AM-12:00PM RIDGEFIELD OFFICE HOURS: Monday 2:00PM-5:30PM Procedures Allergy skin testing (to diagnose offending allergens) Pulmonary function testing Tympanometry (to diagnose ear symptoms) Food, medication challenge (patient by mouth takes a small amount of food or drug under observation as diagnostic test) Fiberoptic rhinolaryngoscopy (to diagnose nasal polyps, sinusitis, post nasal discharge, voice problems) Allergy vaccination (immunizes person against offending allergens, a treatment when symptoms not fully controlled by other measures) |
